Contaminated air is drawn through a washable metal mesh pre-filter, which traps larger dust particles, while ultrafine particles as small as 0.01 microns pass through an ionizing section, where they receive an electrical charge.
These charged particles then move into a collector plate section consisting of parallel plates—where like-charged plates repel particles, and grounded plates attract and trap contaminants.
